Want to keep your cool during this big change? Just stay on top of the nitty-gritty stuff. That means finding a trustworthy crew to haul your precious things to your new pad. But how do you pick the BEST European movers who treat your stuff like gold?
Spain is one of the most popular retirement destinations for Britons because of the lovely weather and the type of laid-back and easy-going life. In fact, according to The Standard (the London newspaper that is now becoming weekly), recent figures showed that 1,050 Britons retire there every month. They join the other 370,000 UK nationals who live in Spain, according to a conservative estimate.
According to statistics, the average person in the UK will move home every seven years. Other statistics show that average life expectancy calculated in 2020 / 2022 was 80.7 years, which means that we move home 11 times in our lifetime. Of course, some people move far more often, and others (few) live their whole lives in the home that they were born in.
Many people recently have decided to leave the UK and live overseas. This may be for any number of reasons, and most of which have nothing to do with their view of the political situation. The weather in the UK is one reason, especially after the winter and spring that we have just had. It would be so lovely to live somewhere in the sun.
Despite the fact that we are no longer in the EU, many people who live in Britain choose to move to a European country for one reason or another. We all see figures telling us about how many immigrants there were last year (around 745,000) but quite a lot of people also leave the UK to live abroad.
